“Community Engagement and the Media Arts” was the topic of an online conversation among several dozen NAMAC members in 2004. Led by Robert West of North Carolina’s Working Films, participants shared strategies, discussed the multitude of tools they use, debated the responsibilities of media arts organizations, and pondered how to best make a case for the importance of independent media.
