Sprout, a private not-for-profit organization that offers recreation, travel and film programs to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is seeking a

Film Programs Coordinator. This position is a 6-month, full-time position (February - July, 2013) with the possibility for extending to a permanent placement.

The Film Programs Coordinator will assist with the running of the following programs: Sprout Film Festival, Sprout Touring Film Festival, sproutflix.

Sprout Film Festival - an annual film festival, scheduled this year over the weekend of May 31 thru Sunday June 2, 2013 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Uris Center for Education. Interface with Museum staff, filmmakers, volunteers, caterers, and art exhibitors to ensure the smooth running of this weekend event. Promote the festival thru social media and assist with marketing and soliciting in-kind donations. Handle ticket sales and track attendance for each program.

Sprout Touring Film Festival - Assist in coordinating the Touring Film Festival program, which brings selections of films from our annual festival to areas around the United States for screenings. Prepare marketing materials, organize and mail the films and promotional materials to designated festival venues, outreach for attendees. Possibility of representing Sprout at select events and to present our films programs to audiences.

Sproutflix – Work with our team to promote and market the sproutflix website, which offers a wide variety of films related to the field of developmental disabilities, for purchase (streams, downloads and DVDs). Oversee the sales and mailing of purchased films. Outreach to schools and agencies to promote our films for educational use.

General skills and qualities:
Strong communication and presentation skills
Must be able to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
Experience developing and implementing social media strategies
Knowledge of FCP and graphic design a plus.

This position is a full-time, 6 month position to start in February 2013
