The St. Paul Neighborhood Network (SPNN) is is seeking a 32-hour-a-week Access Coordinator to work with members of the public as they produce non-commercial media for our viewers in Saint Paul and beyond.

SPNN is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) charity, a community media center serving Saint Paul, MN and the Twin Cities metro area. Our mission is to empower people to use media and communications to better lives, use authentic voice and build common understanding.

Some Facts about SPNN

  • We operate five channels on the Comcast cable system, which reach 52,000 cable households in Saint Paul.
  • We produce over 200 hours of community programming each year, and broadcast 4000 hours of original community content.
  • We teach 300 youth through a variety of summer and after school media education programs each year.
  • We partner with 25 sites across the Twin Cities metro area and provide digital literacy education to 6000 people annually.

Access Coordinator Primary Duties:

The Access Coordinator will schedule equipment use, trouble shoot editing and studio issues for members and ensure that equipment is in working order.  The Access Coordinator will share responsibility for teaching classes and workshops, coordinating with contractors, and program development. The ideal candidate will enjoy supporting others as they learn media production and distribution skills, working in a group environment and have the ability to troubleshoot. 

Desired Skills:

Candidates must like working with diverse groups of people, have great customer service skills, like working in a collaborative environment, organized, attention to detail and be technically inclined.  Television or video production skill and the ability to troubleshoot is desired. 

Salary:  Depending on experience.   Benefits package provided (Health, Dental and Life Insurance, Paid Time Off and Holidays, 403b Match, Transit).
