Senior Interactive Content Producer

KCTS 9 is the largest public television station in the Pacific Northwest, reaching over 2 million viewers weekly in Washington and British Columbia. Located in the heart of Seattle at Seattle Center, KCTS 9 improves the quality of life in the communities we serve by providing meaningful programming on air, online and in the community that informs, involves and inspires.

KCTS 9 seeks a full-time Senior Interactive Content Producer. The Senior Interactive Content Producer creates original online content and contributes to overall planning and direction of KCTS web and digital media properties. Specifically, this position creates and edits digital media content including graphics, videos and text; defines and documents content creation workflows and procedures; publishes content to multiple KCTS web properties; manages online content creation and publishing scheduling; provides back up support for web property issues; and manages relationships with interns, contractors and vendors as appropriate.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree in computer science, technical communication, informatics or related field or equivalent work experience; 5 years’ experience managing Interactive content; experience with HTML, Javascript and CSS; and the ability to work some evenings, weekends, holidays as needed. Experience with PHP, SQL and version control; working knowledge of video editing and audio editing; experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, and content management systems; and experience managing web or online media projects preferred.
